Senior Accountant

We are ACCA registered firm in the United Kingdom having a back office in Defence Phase II Extension, Karachi, Pakistan.

We are seeking Senior Accountants to join our Bookkeeping Department . The role involves managing end-to-end bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidates will have strong experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts independently.

This job in based in Karachi Office.

Job Description

The Employee will be engaged to perform the following duties for our clients:

  • Set up and manage cloud-based accounting software in line with clients’ bookkeeping and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Utilise automation tools, AI-assisted bookkeeping applications, bank feeds, OCR technology and cloud integrations to minimise manual data entry and improve efficiency.
  • Review and validate automated bookkeeping transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage and maintain bookkeeping records for sales, purchases, receipts, payroll, and payments using modern cloud accounting platforms.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, supplier ledgers, and control accounts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Analyse financial data and extract meaningful business insights, trends, and performance indicators for management reporting purposes.
  • Assist clients and management with interpretation of financial information rather than only transactional processing.
  • Liaise with Managers and respond to client queries professionally and promptly.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: ACCA Part Qualified/ M.com/ B.com
  • Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Understanding in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks online
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
