Job Description

  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, invoices, and accounts payable.
  • Review financial transactions to ensure their accuracy and compliance with applicable financial regulations and policies.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of balances .
  • Perform periodic asset inventories and ensure reconciliation with accounting records.
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial reports for senior management.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide all required documentation.
  • Use electronic financial systems to record and monitor financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax and social security laws and regulations, where applicable .

Qualifications

Ø Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .

Ø A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.

  • Experience in the government or semi-government sector is preferred .

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., GRP).
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
