Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel and process, including data entry and payment processing using QuickBooks and a future ERP.
- Oversee payroll management and benefits administration utilizing Paylocity.
- Conduct detailed account analysis and perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting processes and performing internal audits.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly and prepare supporting documentation for external audits.
- Collaborate with human resources on HRIS systems integration and maintain accurate employee-related financial data.
- Assist in implementing process improvements for efficiency in bookkeeping, data entry, and financial reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Netsuite, Accumatica, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos or equivalent payroll management tools.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Experience with SOX compliance procedures and internal control documentation.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
