Senior Accountant at Thomsun Group will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires a highly skilled professional to oversee accounting processes, ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring they comply with local, national, and international accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to management to support decision-making.
- Analyze variances in financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor key financial metrics and implement controls to optimize financial performance.
- Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Work closely with departments to track expenditures and compare them to the budget, advising on necessary adjustments.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of outstanding payments.
- Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity and financial health of the organization.
- Lead and mentor accountants, providing training and support to develop their skills.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure effective teamwork.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement accounting system upgrades or new tools to streamline workflows.
- Ensure proper documentation and support for all financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) certification Inter or Final
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
