Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate reporting for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction accounting, cost control, and financial compliance within Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability across multiple construction projects
• Handle job costing, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and cost allocation
• Ensure compliance with Omani tax regulations, VAT requirements, and financial reporting standards
• Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial forecasting
• Review and approve invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense reports
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls
• Provide financial insights and reports to management for decision-making

Requirements:

• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and project finance
• Familiarity with Omani VAT laws and financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on large-scale construction projects (roads, fuel stations, buildings)
• Experience with ERP systems used in construction companies
