Financial Controller

The Mandate
Karaaslanogullari Finance is seeking a rigorous and strategic Financial Controller to lead our fiscal governance and reporting functions. Based in our Azaiba executive office, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our global financial operations, ensuring that our internal controls are ironclad and our strategic growth is backed by sound data. We are looking for a finance leader who can navigate complex international standards while maintaining a granular focus on the Sultanate’s specific regulatory landscape.

Core Responsibilities * Fiscal Governance & Oversight: Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns, ensuring 100% compliance with IFRS and Omani Law.

• Internal Control Framework: Design, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Budgetary Strategy: Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, providing the executive team with critical insights into variance analysis and cost-optimization strategies.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee liquidity management and banking relationships, optimizing capital structure and managing foreign exchange risks.
• Regulatory & Tax Leadership: Manage all interactions with the Oman Tax Authority, ensuring timely and accurate VAT filings, corporate tax compliance, and external audit readiness.
• Strategic Advisory: Partner with the C-suite to evaluate investment opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and provide financial modeling for new business ventures.

Professional Profile * Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a Controller or Senior Finance Manager role.

• Mandatory Qualifications: Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA) is essential.
• Advanced mastery of ERP systems and business intelligence (BI) tools for financial visualization.
• Deep expertise in Omani Tax Law, VAT regulations, and the Sultanate’s commercial legal framework.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and upskilling multi-disciplinary finance teams.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred for high-level stakeholder and government liaison.
