Senior Accountant (Contracting)

We’re currently partnering with a leading contracting company in the UAE that is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance function within a fast-paced construction environment.

This is a high-visibility role offering strong ownership across financial operations, compliance, and reporting, with direct exposure to senior leadership.

🔹 Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective cost control across projects and corporate functions.

The role requires hands-on experience in construction accounting, strong system knowledge, and the ability to operate efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting, reporting, and month-end closing

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles

• Maintain general ledger and perform reconciliations

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely filings

• Coordinate with auditors and maintain proper documentation

• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning

• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for accurate reporting

🔹 Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience

• Mandatory: Experience working with a building construction company in the UAE

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance

🔹 Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Tally accounting software

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
