Senior Accountant – Corporate Finance

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join Acclarity’s corporate finance team. This role reports directly to the Controller and is designed for a strong individual contributor who can take ownership of key accounting processes while helping bring structure, consistency, and discipline to a growing finance function.

This position plays a central role in the monthly close, general ledger integrity, and financial reporting, while supporting the day-to-day execution of core accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an environment where processes are evolving and there is opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & General Ledger

  • Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Support timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze variances and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Support accounting activities across AR, AP, payroll, and cash
  • Review transactions for accuracy, proper coding, and completeness
  • Resolve discrepancies and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing
  • Help drive consistency and reliability across accounting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Support development and documentation of SOPs and internal controls
  • Maintain organized documentation to support audits and reporting requirements
  • Partner closely with the Controller and broader finance team
  • Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in day-to-day responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial close processes
  • Experience owning components of the month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Acumatica or BigTime a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, data analysis, schedule preparation)
  • Florida-based, with ability to work a hybrid schedule (Wednesday in-office – Fort Lauderdale)
  • No travel required
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred (not required)
  • Experience in a growing or evolving accounting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • A consistent, timely, and well-structured close process
  • Accurate and reliable reconciliations and financial data
  • Improved efficiency across core accounting processes
  • Strong adherence to SOPs and operational discipline
  • Increased ability for the Controller to scale and delegate effectively
