KDI Precision Manufacturing is a rapidly growing Medical Device contract manufacturer with a variety of manufacturing capabilities including electro-mechanical systems assembly, clean room sterile device assembly, and CNC machining.
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant / Office Manager who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely month-end closings, and partnering across departments to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations teams — blending analytical precision with real-world business impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with bookkeeping activities on daily bases.
- Oversee payroll operations, including processing manual entries and coordinating with vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage all bank-related transactions.
- Lead an accurate and timely month-end close process, ensuring completeness and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Maintain and analyze standard cost accounting systems for products and manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Prepare and analyze manufacturing cost reports, variance analyses, and margin analysis.
- Partner with production and operations teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate and record physical inventories, collaborating with Operations and Business Optimization team.
- Execute Accounts Payable and Receivable functions — verifying invoices and ensuring proper documentation and timely disbursement.
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.
- Create various financial reports and forecasts to support internal decision-making and planning.
- Manage benefits, 401K and other HR systems and related employee setup and maintenance
- Assist with Time Off tracking and employee communications
- Wear multiple hats and assist with miscellaneous office management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) — advanced Excel skills a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems and general ledger maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to build partnerships across departments.
- The ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with minimal direction while shifting priorities as they change is critical to this position.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ‘Can-do-it’ attitude is a must.
Preferred
- Regulated or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated record of advancement at a small/medium size company.
- Past experience with office management tasks
- Accounting experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree will be considered.
