Senior Accountant – Audit & Consultancy Firm (Dubai) -

Core Roles & Responsibilities

1. Client Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage multiple client portfolios across industries (trading, services, real estate, etc.)
• Maintain accurate books in compliance with IFRS
• Review junior accountants’ work and ensure quality deliverables to clients

2. Financial Statement Preparation

• Prepare complete sets of financial statements for clients
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements
• Assist clients in year-end closing and financial reporting

3. External Audit Support

• Prepare audit schedules, lead schedules, and working papers
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries
• Ensure clients are audit-ready and documentation is complete

4. VAT Advisory & Compliance

• Handle VAT registration, deregistration, and amendments with the Federal Tax Authority
• Prepare and review UAE VAT returns for multiple clients
• Provide VAT advisory (treatment of complex transactions, input/output tax issues)
• Assist clients during VAT audits and FTA inspections

5. Corporate Tax Advisory (UAE)

• Support implementation of UAE Corporate Tax for clients
• Assist in tax computation, adjustments, and return preparation
• Advise clients on tax optimization and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with tax consultants and legal advisors when needed

6. Consulting & Advisory Services

• Provide financial advisory services
• Financial health checks
• Cost optimization and profitability analysis
• Assist in feasibility studies and financial projections

7. Internal Controls & Risk Assessment

• Evaluate clients’ internal controls and accounting systems
• Identify risks and recommend improvements
• Assist in internal audit assignments when required

8. ERP & Accounting Systems Implementation - Implement and manage accounting systems like

• QuickBooks
• Tally
• Zoho Books

9. Client Relationship Management

• Act as primary point of contact for assigned clients
• Provide timely financial insights and advisory support
• Ensure high client satisfaction and retention

10. Team Supervision

• Lead and mentor junior accountants and associates
• Review deliverables before submission to clients
• Ensure deadlines across multiple client engagements are met

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
