Position Title: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely financial reporting, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to assist with month-end close, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll, while contributing to the overall integrity of the company’s financial operations.

Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable processing, cash management, and payroll support.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Support the maintenance of internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and healthcare industry compliance standards.

Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis aligned with the Company’s growth objectives.

Partner with accounting team members to share knowledge, support cross-training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Assist in coordinating external financial audits and regulatory compliance reviews, providing documentation, and supporting schedules as needed.

Prepare and analyze financial reports and schedules to support management decision-making and provide accurate data to the Accounting Manager and leadership team.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes, contributing to greater efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Support communication and coordination with external partners, including auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions, as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.

Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and cash management; exposure to payroll processing is a plus.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, healthcare financial regulations, and compliance requirements.

Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of revenue cycle management, reimbursements, and third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers).

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills.

Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to executive leadership.
