Position: Senior Accountant (Qualified CA)

Summary

A Tax & Accounting firm in Business Bay is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and supervise junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate must have strong UAE accounting experience, excellent knowledge of accounting systems such as Tally and QuickBooks, and hold a CA qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations and financial transactions
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
• Supervise and support a team of 2 accountants
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and proper financial documentation
• Assist with VAT filing, tax documentation, and compliance requirements
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow activities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
• Coordinate with auditors, clients, and management when required
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial records

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as a Senior Accountant
• Previous experience within a UAE accounting, tax, or consultancy firm is preferred
• Ability to supervise and manage junior accounting staff
• Strong knowledge of Tally and QuickBooks (mandatory)
• Good understanding of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and compliance processes
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Immediate availability

Ideal Candidate

A reliable and hands-on accounting professional with strong UAE accounting knowledge, leadership ability, and experience managing financial operations within a fast-paced consultancy or accounting environment. Candidates with a CA qualification and consultancy background will be highly preferred.
