Our firm focuses on outsourced accounting services rather than traditional CPA firm offerings such as income tax preparation or audit engagements. While we collaborate closely with external tax CPAs and advisors, Global DEEZ does not issue CPA opinions or practice public accounting in the traditional sense.

Our services include full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll coordination, financial reporting, account reconciliations, sales tax and compliance support, and coordination with external CPAs for tax planning and filings. We pride ourselves on strong client relationships, clear communication, and the use of modern, cloud-based accounting systems - primarily QuickBooks Online and integrated financial tools.

Job Title: Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager

Location: Leesburg, VA – Hybrid Role at home office. In office 3 days/week for first 4 weeks, then in office 1 day/week. Will transition to mostly remote once training is completed.

Type: Full-Time

Salary: 85-110k

Position Summary

Global DEEZ is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to be responsible for overseeing client accounting engagements, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and managing the day-to-day accounting needs of assigned clients. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and plays a key role in maintaining service quality, reviewing accounting work, collaborating with other team members, and ensuring adherence to accounting best practices. While the position requires a strong technical accounting background, it also involves hands-on bookkeeping and a significant client service component.

Each Global DEEZ client is unique, with services customized to their needs - ranging from acting as a full replacement for an in-house accounting department to providing more limited or foundational bookkeeping support. The Senior Accountant will manage multiple client accounts, review and approve work prepared by Saountants, and collaborate closely with firm leadership to support the continued growth and evolution of the firm.

This role is ideal for an experienced, client-focused accounting professional who is patient, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple accounts in a fast-paced, remote environment. The Senior Accountant must work collaboratively within a team-first culture, contributing to shared success rather than operating independently or in silos.

Key Responsibilities

Client Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, including monthly and year-end close
• Perform and review bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee transaction coding in accordance with client-specific charts of accounts
• Handle bookkeeping cleanups and establish baseline accounting records for new or early-stage clients
• Manage revenue recognition, expense allocation, accruals, and adjusting journal entries
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Analyze financial data and summarize financial performance for clients

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients
• Communicate financial results clearly to non-accounting stakeholders
• Respond to client questions regarding financials, cash flow, and accounting treatment
• Proactively identify issues, risks, and opportunities for process improvement

Compliance & Tax Coordination

• Coordinate with external CPAs and tax advisors on year-end reporting, 1099s, and tax filings
• Assist with tax planning support and ensure timely completion of tax-related deliverables
• Maintain documentation to support tax filings, financial reviews, and audits when required
• Ensure timely payroll processing through payroll partners

Team Leadership & Quality Control

• Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide feedback and guidance
• Provide technical accounting and procedural support to the accounting team
• Assist with onboarding new clients and establishing efficient workflows
• Help standardize processes, improve internal controls, and support operational improvements
• Balance multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality

Firm Growth & Leadership

• Partner with firm leadership and the Director of Operations to support firm growth
• Take on increasing responsibility to help transition day-to-day oversight from the owner
• Participate in leadership discussions related to operations, hiring, and process improvements
• Assist with expanding the client portfolio through relationship-building and networking
• Performance in this area is directly tied to bonus potential

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of public or corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong client service mindset and ability to manage multiple accounts
• Located within the Eastern Time Zone

Preferred

• CPA license (active or inactive)
• Experience with QuickBooks Online; QuickBooks Desktop experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting tools
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities simultaneously
• Prior experience reviewing or supervising accounting staff
• Experience working with small businesses or professional services firms
