Senior Accountant/Chartered Accountant (CA)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage full accounting operations and financial reporting for our growing retail business.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, monitoring division-wise sales performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations in Oman.

This role requires strong analytical ability, financial discipline, and the capability to support management with accurate financial insights for business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting entries (sales, purchases, and expenses)
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Manage petty cash and company expenses
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements
• Prepare Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
• Conduct expense analysis and financial performance reviews
• Prepare Budget vs Actual reports
• Ensure VAT compliance as per Oman regulations

Credit Control

• Monitor customer credit limits
• Track outstanding receivables
• Prepare accounts aging reports
• Follow up on overdue payments

Division-Wise Sales Analysis

• Prepare sales reports by product category/division
• Analyze gross profit per division
• Monitor salesperson performance
• Identify slow-moving and fast-moving stock
• Provide monthly sales growth analysis

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Assist in preparing annual budgets
• Monitor operational expenses
• Identify cost-saving opportunities

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor daily cash position
• Plan supplier payments
• Maintain healthy working capital

System & Process Improvement

• Improve ERP / accounting system efficiency
• Ensure timely monthly closing
• Maintain strong internal financial controls

Company Document Management

• Track company licenses and registrations
• Monitor expiry dates and handle renewals
• Maintain document register and compliance records

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as CA / ACCA is preferred
• Minimum 4-7 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards
• Experience with ERP Odoo systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in retail or fashion industry
• Experience handling division-wise sales reporting

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
