They're seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee and automate accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This individual will play a key role in streamlining processes, strengthening financial integrity, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- 
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- 
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulations
- 
Coordinate sales tax audits and manage completion timelines
- 
Work with tax professionals to oversee income and indirect tax compliance
- 
Prepare quarterly sales and use tax returns
- 
Invoice customers, manage receivables, and automate the process where possible
- 
Manage receivables financing and conduct inventory and fixed asset audits
Month-End & Year-End Close
- 
Lead and manage close processes to ensure timely, accurate reporting
- 
Prepare or review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Team Leadership & Development
- 
Mentor and oversee an Accounts Payable Lead
- 
Support professional growth and ensure consistent process execution
Budgeting & Forecasting
- 
Partner with leadership to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
- 
Implement companywide budgeting and FP&A systems
- 
Deliver financial insights to guide business decisions
Process Improvement & Automation
- 
Identify and implement process efficiencies and best practices
- 
Recommend and deploy accounting software or automation tools to improve operations
Ad-Hoc Analysis
- 
Develop custom reports and analyses for leadership
- 
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decisions
Compensation Range: $134,868 - $167,089 (Base salary, Bay Area market range; excludes bonus and benefits)
Education & Certification
- 
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 
CPA required (CMA or CFA considered a plus)
Experience
- 
7-10 years of accounting or finance experience, including 3-5 years in management
- 
Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger, and audits
- 
Experience with manufacturing or production accounting environments
- 
Knowledge of cost accounting and sales/use tax compliance
Technical Skills
- 
Advanced Excel proficiency
- 
Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle)

Familiarity with FP&A tools and financial modeling

Understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial regulations
