Position Focus:
Reporting to the Residential College Dean and with limited supervision and guidance from the Assistant Director of Operations, this position provides high level of administrative support to the Dean of Pierson College. Assists the Dean in the academic, personal and professional advising of students.
The Sr. AA II will work in-person, on campus. This is an 11-month role with one month of unpaid leave generally between mid-June to mid-July each year.

Required Skill/Ability 1:

Required Skill/Ability 4:
Ability to work independently and under pressure. Mature judgment when handling problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A writing sample will be required of all those who are interviewed.
Required Skill/Ability 5:
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated ability using Outlook for email and scheduling appointments.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Demonstrated experience with Workday expense reporting, Yale Message, and StarRez for support in housing management.
1. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; ability to quickly learn new systems.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in managing calendars and scheduling appointments. Proven experience as an administrative or executive assistant, particularly in a higher education setting.
3. High level of interpersonal skills, including a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team. Experience working with faculty, students, and parents in a consultative role.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and tolerate frequent interruptions. Familiarity with expense reporting systems and student information systems.
5. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials.
