The Senior AI Product Owner is responsible for driving the successful delivery of Data & AI products across assigned business domains, primarily Retail or Wholesale Banking.
The role serves as a single point of accountability for product vision, prioritization, and execution, ensuring alignment between business objectives and Data & AI Lab delivery teams.
The position bridges business and technology by translating strategic priorities into scalable, high-impact data and AI solutions, while ensuring value realization, governance, and delivery excellence across the product portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
Product Strategy & Vision

Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for assigned data and AI products within the business domain.

Partner with domain heads and senior stakeholders to identify new opportunities for data-driven value creation.

Stakeholder Management and Delivery Ownership, Planning & Coordination and Value Realization & Governance.

Act as the primary liaison between Data Lab and business units (Retail / Wholesale Banking), ensuring transparency, alignment, and shared accountability for outcomes.

Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize requests, and facilitate trade-off discussions.

Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior management and steering committees.

Own and manage the product backlog across multiple teams (DE, DS, MLE, BI).

Define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with technical leads and architects.

Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of data products, dashboards, ML models, and AI-driven capabilities.

Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives with Agile delivery teams.

Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and release.

Coordinate inter-team dependencies, manage capacity planning, and align releases across the Data Lab portfolio.

Drive integration of Data Lab products with enterprise systems and business workflows.

Define and track key KPIs and success metrics for each product.

Ensure compliance with the bank’s Data Governance, Privacy, and Security policies.

Partner with Data Governance team to monitor data quality, lineage, and ownership within assigned products.

Deep understanding of banking processes (Retail, Corporate / Wholesale, Digital channels).

Strong product management background, ideally in Data, AI, or Digital transformation context.

Ability to translate business needs into data and AI product requirements.

Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, analytics, BI, and reporting.

Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, Data Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

8+ years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, or Data/AI Delivery.

Proven track record in delivering complex data or AI products in financial services or technology organizations.

Agile certification (Scrum PO, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.

PMI PMBoK certification preferred
