About Klass Online
Klass Online is a live learning and skills platform built for real-time sessions, interaction, scheduling, ratings, and a smooth user experience for both sides of the marketplace. The platform is already built and live, and we are preparing for trial, growth, and commercialization.
We are looking for a strong technical leader to work closely with the founder and take ownership of the product from a technical and execution perspective.
Role Overview
This is not a pure corporate management role. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can review architecture, improve product quality, guide developers, strengthen security and performance, and help prepare the platform for scale.
The right person should be comfortable working in a startup environment, making practical decisions, and balancing speed, stability, and long-term technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of Klass Online’s platform and future roadmap
- Review the current codebase, architecture, and infrastructure
- Identify weaknesses, risks, bottlenecks, and improvement areas
- Lead and supervise external developers and future internal technical hires
- Improve code quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Strengthen platform security, access control, and deployment practices
- Support product decisions with technical judgment and practical planning
- Build a realistic technical roadmap for growth, stability, and future expansion
- Help prepare the business for investor readiness, scaling, and operational maturity
- Ensure proper documentation, handover standards, and engineering discipline
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and system architecture background
- Experience leading or managing technical teams and developers
- Experience reviewing and improving existing products, not just building from zero
- Good judgment in startup environments with limited resources
- Able to work hands-on when needed, while also leading strategically
- Strong understanding of platform scalability, backend architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production readiness
- Experience with security, testing, performance review, and deployment control
- Clear communication and ability to work directly with the founder
Preferred
- Experience with marketplaces, live platforms, EdTech, or service-based digital platforms
- Experience working with outsourced or distributed development teams
- Experience preparing products for commercial launch and scale
- Startup experience is strongly preferred
