Charterhouse are working with a highly respected and forward-thinking Family Office based in Abu Dhabi that is looking to hire a Senior AI Scientist to join their elite Product Support & Design team. The Senior AI Scientist will be at the forefront of research, development, and deployment of advanced Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. The role will focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent-based systems, and multimodal AI applications. The Senior AI Scientist will be looked upon to lead high-impact technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional experts to shape the future of AI within a discreet and well-resourced organization.

Additionally, the Senior AI Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated LLM-based systems, overseeing the full lifecycle of LLM projects from pre-training to deployment. This role will involve conducting in-depth research into emerging technologies, designing prompt engineering strategies, and ensuring technical excellence through collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role will also analyse model performance and contribute to the development of industry-leading practices.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing and deploying LLMs for complex applications, with deep expertise in RAG, agent systems, and multimodal AI. The ideal candidate will be proficient in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers. A solid understanding of the underlying mechanics of NLMs and MLMs is crucial for this role.

The candidate should come from a strong academic background, ideally a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, is essential. The successful candidate should also have a proven track record in AI research, including publications, leader-board rankings, or contributions to industry standards, and be comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
