About the Role
Our client a leading ecommerce brand based in US is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Amazon Category Manager to lead and scale our product portfolio on Amazon. This role requires a data-driven professional with a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, sales optimization, and category expansion.
Category Growth & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategic sales, pricing, and advertising plans to drive sustainable growth.
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Identify and pitch high-potential product expansions based on market trends and competitive analysis.
- Revitalize legacy products to maintain profitability and market relevance.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing fees and overstock risks.
Performance Analysis & Campaign Execution
- Conduct weekly sales and marketplace data analysis to refine growth strategies.
- Manage and optimize Amazon PPC campaigns and keyword rankings to maximize conversions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, supply chain, and product development strategies.
- Continuously improve product listings, test pricing strategies, and enhance advertising effectiveness.
- Monitor industry trends, audit competitor performance, and implement innovative growth tactics.
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain category efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Increase category net profit by 20% year-over-year.
- Achieve sales targets for 80% of new product launches within six months.
- Improve profitability of relaunched products by 15% annually.
- Maintain legacy product profit drops below 10% year-over-year.
- Keep inventory surcharges under $1,000 per month.
- Build a $2.5M+ new product revenue pipeline for 2026.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Optimization Manager & PPC Specialist – Daily coordination to prioritize and optimize category performance.
- Senior Manager, Sales Operations – Weekly strategy meetings to align objectives and drive growth.
- Cross-Functional Teams – Close collaboration with Product Development and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Executive Leadership – Monthly performance reviews to present insights and future strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Amazon category management, sales growth, and profitability optimization.
- Proven track record in scaling product portfolios and managing high-revenue categories.
- Expertise in Amazon Seller Central, PPC, keyword ranking, and competitive analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of translating data into actionable strategies.
- Experience in inventory management, demand forecasting, and cost optimization.
