Your role at Sephora:


As the Senior Analyst, HR Reporting & Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of HR reporting and dashboards for the organization. Reporting to the Director, HR Analytics, you will contribute to HR initiatives by performing people-related data analyses, building out reporting & dashboarding tools, highlighting trends, and delivering insights to guide decision making. You will help evolve Sephora’s people analytics capabilities.

  • Design and develop operational and ad-hoc reporting for people related data & metrics
  • Manage self-service reporting within HR system (SuccessFactors/Dayforce) and support the business with operational needs
  • Query and analyze data sets from a data warehouse to be able to answer people-related questions
  • Provide data and analyses on a variety of HR metrics to leadership team and cross-functional partners to ensure HR alignment with overall company strategy/initiatives
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, assess complexity, and define timelines to develop appropriate data visualizations & dashboards that uncover trends and/or provide meaningful insights
  • Create dashboards of KPIs and people metrics based on company business objectives/HR strategy
  • Lead a COE within People Analytics & drive the development and growth of the pillar; specialization could include budgeted projects and special projects with the business based on initiatives and need
  • Serve as a trusted partner to HR and cross-functional teams to address data analytics needs and contribute to various task forces related to data analytics
  • Translate people data and insights into a story to drive decisions and action at the leadership/executive level that impact the company’s bottom line
  • Leverage reporting & data capabilities to streamline or automate work, including customized reporting to support HR functional areas, or Sephora’s different business areas (Corporate, Retail, DC)
  • Oversee data quality throughout HR data pipelines – monitoring dashboards and data tables to identify, troubleshoot, and quickly resolve data discrepancies
  • Partner with IT teams to diagnose and resolve data-related issues

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 5+ years in HR reporting & analytics experience
  • Identifying problems and/or trends using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with building dashboards, and exposure to people analytics tools (data warehouses, BI & data visualization tools)
  • SQL, or related coding experience within a data warehouse
  • Advance technical skills – MS Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint); merchant systems
  • Passion for retail, product, and trends
  • A strong numbers-aptitude and analytical skills
  • An ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast pace, complex environment
  • A positive and collaborative attitude


The annual base salary range for this position is $110,800.00 - $147,500.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
