Position: Senior Architect

Job Location: Abu Dhabi - UAE

Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:

• Lead the design process, ensuring innovative and high-quality architectural solutions from conception to completion
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate architectural concepts into overall project objectives, ensuring cohesive and comprehensive project outcomes.

Design Development:

• Demonstrate expertise in architectural design principles, construction materials, and building systems.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and sustainable design practices.
• Develop design documents based on codes, standards, client requirements, regulatory considerations, and budget constraints.
• Produce Concept Design and detailed drawings, models, and specifications using various design software.
• Lead the coordination with other trades and disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
• Deliver high-quality solutions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Conduct design reviews and validations to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that project documents comply with UAE local building codes, authorities' regulations, and international standards.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Client Interaction:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, translating these into effective design solutions.
• Attend meetings and present design proposals and project progress to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Quality Control:

• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the design process to avoid conflicts or missing information, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other trades and consultants.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to architects and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Technology Integration:

• Utilize advanced architectural software and technology for design and project management.
• Implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and standards.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

Relevant Experience:

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in architectural design.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in consultancy field in the UAE, mostly in Abu Dhabi.

Technical Expertise:

• Extensive experience in Concept design, engineering disciplines, techniques, and best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in architectural design principles, construction materials, and building systems.
• Significant experience in developing detailed design and tender documents, including interdisciplinary coordination and quality control, to ensure timely project delivery.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, with Revit experience being advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, authority requirements, regulations, and international codes and standards.
• Up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
