Senior Architect

Required experience

3 years of experience in UAE, and 5-6 years as overall experience.

Key Roles & Responsibilities (R&R)

1. Design & Documentation

• Prepare and develop concept, schematic, and detailed architectural designs in line with client briefs and project requirements.
• Produce fully coordinated architectural drawings, details, schedules, and specifications for permit and tender stages.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and aligned with office standards and templates.

2. Authority Compliance & Submissions

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable UAE codes, planning regulations, building regulations, and fire & life safety requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate authority submission packages (e.g., ADM/DMT, ADCD, Estidama, utility authorities) under the guidance of senior staff.
• Follow up on authority comments, prepare responses, and revise drawings/documents as required.

3. Technical Coordination

• Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure integrated solutions.
• Attend internal coordination meetings and review multidisciplinary drawings/models before issue.
• Support the preparation of BOQ-related information and technical inputs for tender documents.

4. Project Support & Client Interface

• Support project managers in meeting deadlines, deliverable lists, and quality requirements for each project.
• Participate in design presentations and, when required, attend client meetings.
• Incorporate client feedback into design revisions while maintaining compliance and technical integrity.

5. Site & Construction Support

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs from contractors for compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Conduct occasional site visits/inspections to verify architectural works against approved drawings.
• Assist in preparing snag lists and handover documentation as needed.

6. Quality, Documentation & Professional Conduct

• Maintain organized project files, drawing registers, and revision control in accordance with company procedures.
• Adhere to QA/QC processes, CAD/BIM standards, and branding guidelines.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude, reliability, and professional conduct in dealing with colleagues, clients, and authorities.
