Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Architectural Engineer with strong site supervision expertise to join our team on a large-scale construction project. The successful candidate will act on behalf of the Supervision Consultant, ensuring the contractor’s work complies with design specifications, relevant codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor architectural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs related to architectural works.
- Conduct regular inspections and site walks to verify workmanship, materials, and progress.
- Identify and report non-conformances, and follow up on corrective actions with the contractor.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (structural, MEP, etc.) to ensure design integration and resolve on-site issues.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide technical input related to architectural aspects.
- Review and comment on contractor’s progress reports, inspection requests, and test results.
- Assist the project team in managing client expectations and ensure the highest standards of architectural delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in site-based roles on major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, architectural standards, and construction practices.
- Previous experience working with or for a Supervision Consultant is essential.
- Proficient in reviewing technical documentation and identifying design or site-related issues.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
- Membership in a relevant professional body is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-end or complex architectural projects.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and authority requirements.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools.
