Location: Aga Khan University, Karachi (with travel to Punjab as required)

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Coordinator / Manager OC&OP, the incumbent will be responsible to perform a variety of administrative functions related to security program implementation at research sites /operations. The incumbent will assist management in risk assessment, premises vulnerability analysis (new /existing research site surveys), periodic inspection rounds etc. The incumbent will assist management in review of grants and uploading of comments on PeopleSoft and maintaining of grants database. The incumbent will be responsible to arrange/ coordinate logistics for site surveys/rounds/visits/ field activities etc and will also accompany the team, as and when required.

The candidate will be responsible to:

  • assist management in the implementation of security management program and related policies at country wide research sites/ operations.
  • assist management in Security Risk Assessment and Premises Vulnerability Analysis (Physical Site Surveys) for all new and existing research sites/ operations.
  • assist management in review of grants, uploading of comments on PeopleSoft and maintaining of grants database.
  • provide administrative support to management to arrange/ coordinate logistics for site surveys/rounds/visits/ field activities etc. Also accompany the team, as and when required.
  • maintain record of site visits/ surveys carried out by the management along with relevant expense reports/ financial summary of expenses incurred/ claimed for the visit.
  • assist management in conducting/arranging various trainings at research/field sites, both physically and virtually.
  • assist management in preparing data for MRC/ Security committee meetings etc.
  • assist management in drafting of official letters, memos, reports and presentations.
  • assist management in development of security awareness flyers for research sites/ operations.
  • maintain close coordination with relevant departments i.e. Research Office, Office of Shared Research, Dean’s Office, Peads & other clinical departments involved in research activities.
  • perform any other relevant task assigned by Manager OC&OP/ Regional Director, Safety & Security.
  • compile and type monthly/quarterly and yearly survey and other reports.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized university
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the use of computer packages, especially MS OFFICE.
  • Excellent Data Management Skills on MS Excel.
  • Must have excellent drafting/writing skills in English.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver the desired outcome.
  • Should be an organized and focused individual.
  • Work experience in an intelligence setup will be an added advantage
