Senior Associate Attorney – Insurance Litigation

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $150,000 – $185,000 per year + benefits

Position Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Irvine office. This hybrid role involves managing complex, high-stakes insurance coverage litigation matters and providing strategic legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases independently while collaborating with a dynamic legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts from inception through resolution
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of insurance policies and coverage provisions to assess liability and exposure
  • Provide strategic legal advice and prepare client status reports
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and/or litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
