We are in the process of expanding our team and are looking for an associate who are eager to join us.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Senior Associate role located in Istanbul. At least 6-7 years post-qualification experience preferably in a law firm specialized in the areas of Corporate / M&A and Project Finance.

The Senior Associate will hold a pivotal role within our team, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities, including conducting extensive legal research, preparing a variety of legal documents, participating in meetings with clients and business partners, and managing interactions with relevant public authorities. Additionally, this role requires expertise in corporate law, especially in areas such as due diligence, M&A projects and project finance. Proficiency in supporting the corporate maintenance of multinational entities, including public companies, in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Moreover, the position necessitates the ability to draft and negotiate various contracts, including share purchase and shareholders agreements. Regulatory experience is also required to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Furthermore, the role will involve substantial engagement with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters, making it a comprehensive and dynamic opportunity within our organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-7 years of professional relevant experience;
• Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English;
• Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently;
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a desire to learn and grow;
• Bachelor's degree in law from a well-reputed university;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior associates, fostering their development in Corporate/M&A practice;
• Self-motivated, proactive and autonomous.
