Senior Legal Counsel

getirfinans operates within Banking as a Service model, having established partnerships with players at banking sector.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate closely with relevant business teams to provide legal and regulatory compliance advice for new product launches and the delivery of fast-moving fintech services.
• Offer consultancy on matters such as banking law, employment law, advertisement law, consumer protection law, privacy law, and investment practices.
• Actively participate in compliance and risk management initiatives as necessary.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), procurement and supply contracts, software/intellectual property licensing contracts, and others.
• Engage in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal policies, including those relevant to personal data protection.
• Monitor and follow up on legal cases, draft and lodge briefs, attend court hearings as required.
• Execute corporate governance matters, including drafting board resolutions, managing shareholder relations, preparing general assembly meetings, and filing MERSİS filings.
• Draft responses to requests from judicial or other official bodies, including courts, consumer arbitration committees and enforcement offices.

What You’ll Bring

• Be licensed to work as a lawyer in Türkiye.
• Possess a business-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Have more than 5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in-house at a financial institution, payment service provider, or fintech company.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate in both Turkish and English.
• Demonstrated ability both in litigation and legal correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability in Corporate Law, especially preparation and registration of general assembly meetings as well as drafting BoD resolutions.
• Strong understanding of key legal areas: Banking Law and Open Banking, MASAK regulations, KVKK compliance, E-commerce Law, Advertisement Regulations, Consumer Protection Law, Employment Law
