Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Position Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Specialist)

Role Overview

AHK Global Solutions is looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with

proven expertise in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines,

and containerized applications. This role requires deep hands-on experience in Azure

services, Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security

practices.

As a senior member of the team, you will also provide leadership, mentor junior

engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and

highly available systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Infrastructure

o Architect, deploy, and manage solutions on Microsoft Azure (VMs, App

Services, Storage, Networking, Azure SQL, Functions).

o Implement high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery

strategies.

o Optimize cloud usage to reduce costs while maintaining performance.

• CI/CD & Automation

o Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

o Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment with

Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

o Integrate testing, monitoring, and security scans into deployment

workflows.

• Containers & Orchestration

o Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Azure Kubernetes

Service (AKS).

o Implement and manage Helm charts for application packaging.

o Configure monitoring and scaling for Kubernetes workloads.

• Monitoring & Security

o Monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and

Log Analytics.

o Implement RBAC, Azure AD integration, Key Vault, and Zero Trust

security principles.

o Handle incident response, vulnerability scanning, and compliance with

SOC 2, ISO 27001.

• Leadership & Collaboration

o Mentor and guide junior DevOps and Cloud Engineers.

o Work closely with developers, QA, and product managers to streamline

releases.

o Contribute to long-term cloud strategy and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 5+ years of DevOps experience, with at least 3+ years in Azure environments.

• Expertise in:

o Microsoft Azure services (App Services, AKS, Functions, Networking,

IAM).

o CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Ansible).

o Containerization & Kubernetes (AKS).

• Strong knowledge of networking (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or CKAD

• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
