Senior Backend Developer

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team and take ownership of backend architecture, development, and optimization for complex web and mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing efficient APIs, managing databases, ensuring scalability, and collaborating with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to deliver reliable and high-performance software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
• Optimize database performance (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis).
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services when required.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams for full-cycle product delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, performance audits, and technical planning sessions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and security vulnerabilities.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js / Express.js (Nest.js experience is a plus).
• Deep understanding of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with message queues (BullMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
• Solid grasp of API architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Hetzner environments.
• Strong knowledge of Git and modern development workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices, rate limiting, and API performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
