Senior Backend Developer

Job Description

Nogiz is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in backend technologies and strong expertise in Apache Kafka.
We are looking for a professional who can build scalable, high-performance systems and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems and APIs.
• Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and planning sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Maintain clean code with proper documentation and unit testing.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, performance tuning).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB (relational & NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Exposure to monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience working in Agile teams.
