Senior Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance robust, scalable backend applications.
• Architect and implement high-performance APIs for our platform.
• Identify and resolve code inefficiencies, proposing effective technical solutions.
• Participate in technology evaluations and rapid prototyping of new concepts.
• Build maintainable, scalable, and performant systems following best practices in security and design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Collaborate closely with team members in an agile environment, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Manage server and database infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Take full ownership of projects from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (preferred) or other backend languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL or similar).
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Aurora is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience designing and developing APIs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Passion for innovation and contributing to a dynamic engineering culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month
