Senior Barista

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve consistent, high-quality espresso-based and other hot/cold beverages according to Wala Offee standards.​
• Lead and support junior baristas: train on recipes, latte art, customer service, and equipment handling.​
• Oversee daily coffee bar operations, including opening/closing, cleanliness, hygiene, and display standards in line with UAE F&B regulations.​
• Monitor stock levels, place requisitions, and reduce wastage of coffee, milk, syrups, and other consumables.​
• Handle customer queries, resolve complaints, and ensure a welcoming guest experience at all times.

Requirements (UAE Focus)

• Minimum 2 years proven barista experience in the UAE; previous senior or shift-leader barista role preferred.​
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, grinder calibration, and basic machine troubleshooting.​
• Familiarity with UAE café environment, including basic food safety and hygiene practices.​
• Good communication skills in English; other languages are an advantage in UAE’s multicultural market.​
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours while maintaining high service standards.​

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience training or mentoring baristas in a specialty coffee shop or branded café.​
• Basic POS and cash-handling skills and ability to coordinate with café management on daily reports.​
• Relevant coffee or barista certifications from recognized training centers (local or international).​

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
