Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior BI Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and improve decision-making processes. Your primary focus will be on retail and commerce fulfillment related reports, data visualization using tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce and retail analytics.

Develop and maintain retail and ecommerce-related models, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability of data and reporting.

Utilize SQL and BigQuery to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.

Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and growth in ecommerce operations.

Create intuitive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring data is presented in a meaningful and actionable format.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver accurate and timely insights.

Monitor key metrics and proactively provide analysis and recommendations to enhance ecommerce performance.

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures.

Collaborate with the engineering team to understand data structures and ensure data integrity and consistency.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of ecommerce analytics.
Requirements

At least 5 years of proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar role, preferably in an ecommerce or retail environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Good understanding of commerce-related models and concepts such as customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, funnel analysis, A/B testing, and cohort analysis.

Proficient in data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI. Experience with Tableau and Metabase is a plus.

Good understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong SQL and BigQuery skills for data extraction and analysis.

Experience working with CRM systems and CRM metrics is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.

Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and experience with programming in Python.

Experience with common segmentation, retention metrics and analysis (churn analysis, RFM segmentation, affinity scoring, etc).

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data.
