Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper / Associate Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically proficient Experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing bookkeeping service firm. The ideal candidate will be a CA Inter qualifier with a minimum of 4 years of experience gained specifically within a Chartered Accountancy or Audit firm environment. You will be responsible for managing the full-cycle bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger maintenance.

Bank & Account Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany balances.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in strict accordance with IFRS.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns and assist in the preparation of Corporate Tax registrations and filings for clients.

Audit Support: Prepare year-end audit files and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

ERP Management: Expertly navigate and manage cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Zoho) for various client entities.

Client Advisory: Provide basic insights into financial health and ensure clients are meeting all statutory deadlines.

Technical Qualifications

Education: CA Inter (ICAI, ACCA-Level 2, or equivalent) is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Chartered Accountancy (CA) or Accounting Service firm.

Accounting Standards: Deep understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Taxation: Thorough knowledge of VAT Law and emerging Corporate Tax regulations.

Software: Advanced proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks Online and expert-level MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Required Skills & Competencies

Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously without compromising accuracy.

Communication: Strong professional English (written and verbal) for client-facing interaction.

Ethics: High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data.

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
