Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who can own day-to-day financial operations across multiple Irish entities. This role is heavily focused on Xero-based bookkeeping, reconciliation cycles, and ensuring financial data integrity by cross-referencing banking activity with dispatch system records.
You’ll be working closely with the Ireland finance team, supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting while maintaining audit-ready records at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management & Ledger Maintenance
- Record and code daily financial transactions in Xero across multiple entities based on banking activity
- Maintain accurate general ledgers for each entity
- Process purchase invoices, supplier payments, and customer subscription/license invoices
- Manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers
- Identify and record customer-specific transactions using banking platform data
- Verify and reconcile EUR and GBP transactions via banking platform (view-only access)
Driver Data & Dispatch System Coordination
- Extract and process weekly driver summary sheets from systems like Autocab, iCabbi, Cordic, or Cab9
- Validate driver data for completeness and accuracy before posting into Xero
- Cross-check driver summaries against customer ledger entries
- Reconcile driver payments with banking activity and flag discrepancies immediately
Reconciliation & Financial Controls
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliation packs for management review
- Perform monthly full ledger reconciliations across all entities
- Assist in quarterly and annual reconciliation cycles, including variance analysis
- Maintain high accuracy in customer ledgers using banking identifiers and driver data
- Ensure all discrepancies, anomalies, or unidentified transactions are flagged promptly
Reporting & Financial Support
- Prepare weekly driver summary reports for management
- Support financial data pack preparation for Dublin finance reviews
- Assist in invoice generation and dispatch
- Track and maintain software license fee costs by entity
- Support VAT return preparation (Irish and UK where applicable)
- Maintain well-organized, audit-ready financial records
Governance & Compliance
- Use banking platform strictly in view-only mode for reconciliation and verification
- Follow group-level financial controls and reconciliation standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data
- Support audit readiness and internal compliance requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero (non-negotiable)
- Experience handling multi-entity bookkeeping
- Proven experience reconciling EUR and GBP accounts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet strict weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
- Solid experience in invoice processing and ledger management
- ACCA (qualified/part-qualified), AAT, or ICB
- Experience using banking/treasury platforms (e.g., Airwallex or similar)
- Exposure to dispatch/operational systems (Autocab, iCabbi, etc.)
- Experience in tech/platform-based companies
- Familiarity with Irish/UK VAT reconciliation
- Experience in outsourced or white-label finance functions
- Understanding of software license fee accounting
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs170,000.00 per month
