Role Summary
We are seeking a
Budget & Reporting Specialist
to drive operational budgeting and actuals analysis for our mining operations. The role collects and validates site data (production, maintenance, consumables, energy), translates it into clear financial insights, and delivers timely management reports to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Budget & Forecast:
Coordinate annual budgets and rolling forecasts; consolidate inputs and run scenario/sensitivity analyses.

BvA Analysis:
Prepare monthly
Budget vs Actual (BvA)
packs with variance bridges (price/volume/mix), root-cause analysis, and action proposals.

Operational Data Management:
Standardize and validate data from Production, Maintenance, Procurement/Warehouse, and Logistics; reconcile with ERP outputs.

Unit Cost & KPIs:
Track unit costs (e.g., cost per tonne) and operational KPIs (energy, consumables, availability/utilization); highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.

Management Reporting:
Produce concise executive summaries, charts, and tables; facilitate review meetings with clear takeaways.

Process Discipline:
Maintain calendar, templates, data dictionary, and audit-ready documentation; recommend process improvements for data quality and transparency.
Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering
, or a related field.

3–5+ years
of experience in budgeting, reporting, and cost/performance analysis (preferably in mining/energy/construction or other industrial environments).

Advanced
Excel
(pivots, lookups, basic modeling) and hands-on
ERP
experience (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle, etc.).

Solid understanding of
cost center structures
, BvA analysis, unit-cost logic, and operational KPIs.

Strong communication skills and documentation discipline; comfortable working with site teams.

Fluent English
(written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications

French
working proficiency.

Prior exposure to mine-site or heavy-industry operations.

Power Query / advanced Excel; basic data visualization in
Excel/PowerPoint
(Power BI is a plus).

Experience consolidating multi-entity or multi-location inputs.
