Purpose
The Senior Business Analyst, Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations across a large, integrated healthcare system. This position collaborates closely with clinical operations, finance, IT, and procurement teams. The analyst transforms complex data into actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Leads Business Analysis for Supply Chain Automation Initiatives
Leads end-to-end business analysis for supply chain automation projects, including robotics and drone delivery systems
Evaluates emerging technologies and assesses feasibility for healthcare applications
Defines business cases and ROI for automation investments
Partners with stakeholders to align automation goals with operational needs
Monitors implementation progress and adjusts strategies as needed
Collaborates on Future-State Workflow Design for New Facilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define operational requirements for UTMC’s new facility
Maps future-state workflows and identifies process improvements
Aligns supply chain design with clinical and administrative priorities
Facilitates stakeholder workshops and design sessions
Documents and communicates workflow recommendations to leadership
Serves as Liaison for System Integration and Vendor Coordination
Serves as the primary liaison between supply chain operations, IT, and external vendors
Coordinates integration efforts with Workday Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Ensures data consistency and system interoperability
Manages vendor relationships and performance expectations
Supports testing and validation of integrated systems
Manages Project Plans and Deliverables
Develops and manages project plans, timelines, and milestones for supply chain initiatives
Tracks progress and resolves issues to keep projects on schedule
Communicates status updates to stakeholders and leadership
Coordinates resources and dependencies across departments
Ensures alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards
Translates Business Needs into Technical Requirements
Translates business needs into functional and technical requirements for system configuration
Collaborates with IT and vendors to implement system changes
Documents specifications and use cases for supply chain systems
Supports user acceptance testing and training
Ensures solutions meet operational and regulatory requirements
Marginal or Periodic Functions
Leads or participates in supply chain-related projects and pilots, including the evaluation and recommendation of robotic, drone, and AI solutions to enhance procurement, inventory management, and materials delivery
Assists in vendor selection, RFP processes, and benchmarking activities to support strategic sourcing and system integration
Supports ERP upgrades, system testing, and disaster recovery planning to ensure operational continuity
Contributes to change management and training efforts related to new technologies, workflows, and supply chain systems
Provides backup support for procurement and contracting functions as needed

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
5 years of relevant experience in healthcare supply chain or business analytics
Supply Chain Expertise: Understanding of supply chain operations, preferably within healthcare environment.
Experience with ERP systems
Equivalent education or experience may be substituted
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business administration or related field.
7+ years of experience in healthcare supply chain analytics
Familiarity with drone logistics, autonomous delivery systems or warehouse robotics.
Experience in healthcare compliance and materials management standards.
Familiarity with Workday, PeopleSoft/Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Experience with strategic sourcing, value analysis, and clinical collaboration
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

Salary Range
$90,000 + depending on qualifications
