Senior Business Application Analyst

Role Purpose:

The Senior Business Applications Analyst is a key player in managing the full lifecycle of our SAP business applications. This role is specifically focused on the Finance and Controlling (FICO) domain and is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, enhancement, and support of these critical systems. The successful candidate will ensure these applications meet business objectives, drive efficiency, and support our financial operations through expert configuration, support, and project delivery.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide expert-level day-to-day support for SAP ERP implementations and business applications within the SAP FICO module.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives for assigned projects, utilizing industry-standard methodologies like ASAP and Activate.
  • Analyze complex business problems and devise or modify procedures to create effective solutions within the system's capabilities.
  • Prepare detailed specifications to guide development teams and oversee the design, testing, debugging, and documentation of solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance for all business application projects within the FICO domain.
  • Monitor helpdesk tickets to ensure the timely resolution of issues and ensure full compliance with all organizational policies, including Information Security.
  • Apply deep, hands-on configuration knowledge and experience in SAP FI modules, including General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Bank Accounting, Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Funds Management, with a strong understanding of VAT and IFRS compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP Controlling (CO) modules, including Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Order Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
  • Experience with SAP Treasury (TRM) is considered a significant advantage.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive training programs for end-users to ensure the proper and optimal use of business applications within the FICO domain.
  • Lead post-implementation review processes and ongoing monitoring of business applications to ensure stability and identify opportunities for enhancement and increased adoption.
  • Act as a key contributor to business process analysis and reengineering initiatives related to the FICO domain.



Qualifications and Experience:


  • A minimum of 4-6 years of direct experience in SAP Software Implementation Management, specifically within the Finance and Controlling (FICO) domain.
  • Must have completed a minimum of two full life-cycle SAP implementations in the FICO domain.
  • Proven proficiency in ASAP and Activate project methodologies.
  • In-depth, hands-on configuration expertise in the core SAP FI and CO modules as listed above.
  • Experience with SAP Treasury (TRM) is a strong added advantage.
  • High proficiency in using standard computer software systems, including the MS Office suite.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A professional certification in at least one SAP FICO functional module from a recognized institution is required. An official SAP certification is highly preferred.
