This position will be Maintenance Technical Support.

Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two (2) weeks of closing date.

As a valued new employee to NMDOT, you may be eligible to receive three (3) days of administrative leave upon your start date. This is applicable to external hires not within the State of New Mexico Government.
Why does the job exist?

The position will provide independent initiative, conduct research, provide analysis and reports, assist with planning, oversight, and management of the entire District Three Maintenance program. The position will provide support, coordination and training as needed to the District Three Maintenance personnel. Individual will assist and coordinate with Area Maintenance and Patrol Supervisors on snow removal or emergency operations to ensure critical services are maintained through monitoring and tracking equipment, personnel and material stockpiles. Must be available outside of standard business hours to coordinate snow removal operations as needed.
How does it get done?

This position will oversee the Maintenance Management System (MMS, current and new), Vegetation Management Program, stockpiles, Daily Work Reports, and Work Orders. Audit MMS Daily Entry by Maintenance Patrol(s) and Special Crew(s) and provide support to Patrols and Special Crews. The position will assist with preparation, tracking and management of maintenance price agreements in addition to managing the abatement of abandoned homeless camp program. Independently collects, processes and analyzes key data to assist with tort claims and litigation. Monitor and track annual Contract Maintenance and Field Supply budgets. Ensure ongoing communication with Financial Personnel to ensure accurate tracking of annual budgets, and adherence to purchasing laws and policies. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual updates to reports as required per current reporting practices.

Minimum Qualification

Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Employment requires successful completion of a post offer pre-employment physical exam and is conditional pending results. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Business reference check and Driver's License verification are also required, and employment is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
