The Senior Buyer – Inbound Transportation job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead strategic sourcing for transport and logistic commodities such as inbound transportation
Manage tender strategy and planning
Utilizing a collaborative project management with internal stakeholders to negotiate. contracts to drive productivity and quality
Drive analysis and scenario strategy
Active role in negotiation guide preparation and negotiation with suppliers
Crisis management
Generate market intelligence and analysis to anticipate and mitigate supply risks in the medium/long term
Manage and animate supplier panel to develop at strategic and operational level relationship with major and strategic suppliers to achieve expected productivity and quality
Develop ideas to improve operational efficiency and add value
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or closely related field
A minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience or other disciplines that require strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
Project coordination & management experience
Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills
Skilled at performing quantitative analysis
Well organized, rigorous, self-motivated & adaptable
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or closely related field from an ABET accredited university
Strong experience in Transport & Logistics or Supply Chain Strong experience in Purchasing and project management
Strong knowledge of digital sourcing techniques and platforms
