Reports to: Head Pastry Chef / Sous Chef
Job Summary: The Senior Chef de Partie – Baker is responsible for overseeing the daily production of baked goods,
ensuring consistent quality, freshness, and presentation standards. This role involves hands-on preparation,
supervision of junior staff, and maintaining adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. The Senior Chef de
Partie contributes to recipe development, production planning, and efficiency improvement within the bakery section.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute the daily production of breads, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods according
to recipes and standards.
- Ensure product consistency, portion control, and adherence to quality and presentation standards.
- Train, guide, and monitor Commis Bakers and other junior staff to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Organize and prioritize production schedules to meet daily orders and special requirements.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and ingredient quality to ensure perfect results.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the bakery area at all times.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Assist in developing and testing new recipes, improving existing ones, and introducing seasonal products.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, report shortages, and assist with ordering.
- Maintain accurate production and wastage records as required.
- Coordinate with the Pastry and Production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support in training new team members and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of baking tools and equipment.
- Report any equipment faults or safety hazards to the Head Chef immediately.
- Participate in menu planning, product testing, and quality control sessions.
