Senior Chip-Level Technician – Apple MacBook / iPhone / iPad / Laptops

We are hiring an advanced chip-level repair technician who can diagnose the root cause and fix Apple devices and other laptops/smartphones by repairing boards and replacing faulty components, not just swapping parts. You should also be confident in device disassembly and full hardware replacement work.

Roles & Responsibilities

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Perform advanced diagnosis on MacBook, iPhone, iPad, laptops, and smartphones (no power, liquid damage, short circuits, boot loop, no display, charging issues, data issues, etc.).
• Identify root cause using schematics/boardviews and testing tools.
• Create a clear repair plan with estimated time/cost and required parts.

Chip-Level / Logic Board Repair (Core)

• Carry out micro-soldering and component-level repairs (IC replacement/reballing if required, connector replacement, backlight/charging circuits, short finding, etc.).
• Handle liquid damage repairs: ultrasonic/cleaning, corrosion treatment, trace repair/jumper work.
• Replace faulty parts/components on board level with proper testing and quality checks.

Device Hardware Repairs

• Safely open and reassemble devices with best practices.
• Perform part replacements: screens, batteries, keyboards, trackpads, speakers, ports, cameras, housings etc.
• Ensure proper seal/fitment, cable routing, and no cosmetic damage.

Quality Control & Testing

• Test thoroughly after repair: charging/current draw, boot, display, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, sensors, cameras, speakers, Touch ID/Face ID (where applicable).
• Maintain low repeat repairs by proper diagnosis and final QA checks.

Documentation & Process

• Record diagnosis findings, parts used, before/after results.
• Follow ESD safety and workshop standards.
• Support the team by guiding junior techs when needed.

Desired Candidate ProfileMust-have Skills

• Strong chip-level repair skills for MacBook logic boards and iPhone/iPad smartphone boards
• Confident in:
• Short detection and power rail troubleshooting
• Micro-soldering under microscope
• Connector replacement and trace repair
• Reading and using schematics/boardview
• Experience with tools like:
• DC power supply, multimeter, hot air station, soldering station
• Microscope, rework tools, cleaning equipment (ultrasonic is a plus)

Good-to-have / Added Advantage

• Experience with common Apple platforms: MacBook A-series boards, iPhone/iPad board-level faults
• Data-focused approach (especially MacBook / iPhone data protection mindset)
• Ability to handle urgent repairs and maintain clean workmanship
• Own visa (added advantage)

Experience

• Preferred: 3+ years in advanced repair (chip-level), but skill matters more than years.
• Must be able to work independently and consistently deliver successful repairs.

Qualification

• No formal qualification required if skills are proven.
• Any certifications (Apple/ACMT, micro-soldering course, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory.

Trial Period

• Paid 1-week trial period (hands-on evaluation).
• If performance meets our standards, we continue long-term. If not, we stop after the trial.
