Senior Construction Manager

The Project

Mace has been appointed to partner on a new project focusing on the events industry in the Kingdom and build cutting-edge venues to host world-class events in the culture, entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors. Venues will include indoor arenas, art galleries, theaters, conference centers, horse-racing tracks, and motor-racing tracks.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Managing day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Overseeing contractor performance, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing delays, risks, and emerging issues.
  • Managing site interfaces between multiple packages, ensuring coordination, and resolving construction-related clashes.
  • Implementing project control processes including progress reporting, risk management, change control, and schedule tracking.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, site procedures, and client requirements and promoting a safe working environment at all times.
  • Reviewing method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and construction documentation, ensuring clarity, buildability and alignment with project requirements.
  • Supporting the management of inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities to maintain consistent delivery standards.
  • Leading regular site coordination meetings, preparing progress updates and ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders.
  • Managing stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and client representatives, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Contributing to handover planning, commissioning oversight, and closeout activities to ensure a smooth transition to operations.

You’ll Need To Have

  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large, complex construction projects. Experience in KSA or the wider GCC region is beneficial.
  • Strong site-based experience with a solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and best practice.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, drive performance, and maintain strong site controls.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and quality management processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools; familiarity with Primavera P6 is an advantage.
