What we’re looking for
To contribute day-to-day knowledge within the discipline, perform assessments, and/or deal with problems to provide solutions for internal/external clients where the parameters are defined. Assist bids and projects that provide technically & commercially focused support and/or service delivery to internal and/or external clients.

The role
-
To assist in the development of high-quality proposals while managing risk exposure to the business, leveraging existing technical capability within LR and external capability integral to supporting and delivering the value propositions.

To assist projects within the discipline and ensure they are in accordance with quality system requirements, cost structures, and budgetary/contractual requirements.

Manage technical and commercial aspects of bid development while drawing in expertise from the global LR group.

To assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an internal/external client within an agreed fee/cost structure.

To perform assessments and provide support for service delivery, within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.

To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format.

To discuss/present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.

Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.

To assist in service delivery improvement by communicating internal/external client feedback as appropriate.

To coach other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

To make suggestions to improve service delivery effectiveness through changes to processes or work scope, such that it leads to a reduction in appraisal effort (where applicable).
What you bring
-
A bachelor's degree (or master's degree is preferred) from a recognized institution by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or business.

Consultant in the discipline with exposure to various Ports & Logistics stakeholders
-
8+ years of industry experience, at least 3 years of experience in best-in-class consulting & advisory firms.

Membership of an appropriate professional institution is preferred.

Experience in Ports projects related to design, project management, and field engineering.

Experience working in a ‘Seller-Doer’ environment with a consultative selling skillset.

Experience in the development of complex technical bids/reports in line with local/regional regulatory requirements and international best practices.

Strong facilitation skills that are adaptable to different situations and communication styles. Experience with creating business development materials to support projects.

Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents, interviewing, etc.) and synthesizing into digestible outputs (e.g., reports, presentations).

Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new challenges and work from other LR or client office locations.

Be highly self-motivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes. Able to prioritize and work effectively under
pressure.

Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (additional languages preferred)
