We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to help lead the planning and development of content on Pearson’s primary marketing and e-commerce website.
In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across Pearson, from designers to marketers to product developers. Depending on the project, your role will range from a lead facilitator to a single collaborator.
We need a strategic thinker who is curious and self-motivated. You should be able to drive an overall strategy that accounts for numerous considerations: business strategy, user personas, data analytics, competitive analysis, etc. You should also have experience with content design systems, content models, UX writing, information architecture and presenting to stakeholders. Having knowledge about design conventions is ideal, but more important is knowing how to foster the most effective relationships with UX and UI designers.
Though this position includes the term “strategist,” the ideal candidate should be capable in all areas of content creation: You should be able to understand (and help define) high-level goals and strategy, but you should also be comfortable translating that strategy into specific words on the page. In addition to creating content for specific projects, you will also help support other content creators by establishing and promoting best practices for our web content. We are a small team that covers a lot of ground, and we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm, perspective, and experience to wear many hats.
