Senior D365 Functional Consultant

Role Overview


We are seeking highly skilled D365 Functional Consultants with 4–10 years of experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. The role involves gathering business requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring the system, and ensuring successful delivery of Dynamics 365 implementations across modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Finance, or Supply Chain.


The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in end-to-end D365 implementation projects, including requirement analysis, system configuration, UAT support, and post-go-live stabilization.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications
  • Analyze business processes and recommend best-fit D365 solutions
  • Configure and customize Dynamics 365 modules as per business requirements
  • Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and collaborate with technical teams for development
  • Work closely with developers to ensure solutions align with business expectations
  • Support data migration activities including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
  • Design and execute test cases, support SIT and UAT cycles
  • Provide end-user training and create user manuals/documentation
  • Participate in solution design discussions and provide best practice recommendations
  • Support integrations between D365 and third-party systems
  • Assist in cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-go-live support
  • Manage change requests and enhancements in line with project governance
  • Ensure documentation and deliverables comply with project standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile or Waterfall delivery models


Required Experience & Qualifications


  • 4–10 years of experience as a D365 Functional Consultant
  • Hands-on experience in at least one or more D365 modules (Sales, Customer Service, Finance, SCM, or related modules)
  • Strong understanding of business process mapping and solution design
  • Experience in end-to-end D365 implementation projects
  • Ability to prepare BRDs, FDDs, process flows, and solution documentation
  • Experience supporting UAT, training, and go-live activities
  • Good understanding of integrations, workflows, security roles, and reporting capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
