The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to support business decision-making. The role requires a strong understanding of IT systems, data analytics tools, ERP data, accounting principles, and business processes. The candidate will work closely with management, finance, operations, sales, and IT teams to deliver actionable insights, reports, and dashboards.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
- Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical models for management review
- Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities using statistical and analytical techniques
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports
Business Intelligence & Tools
- Design and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Automate reports and analytics using Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Python, or R
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance
IT & Systems Integration
- Work with ERP systems (SAP Business One)
- Analyze data from CRM, POS, Inventory, Finance, and Operations modules
- Support data integration between ERP, third-party systems, and reporting tools
- Coordinate with IT teams on data architecture, performance, and security
Accounting & Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP, and Costing
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability studies
- Reconcile transactional data between systems and financial records
- Assist auditors and finance teams with data validation and compliance reporting
Business Support & Decision Enablement
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
- Provide insights for sales performance, customer behavior, inventory optimization, and cost control
- Support management with scenario analysis and strategic planning
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, Macros preferred)
- SQL (queries, joins, subqueries, performance optimization)
- BI Tools: Power BI / Tableau / Looker or similar
- ERP knowledge (SAP Business One preferred)
- Basic scripting: Python / R (data analysis, automation – preferred)
- Understanding of databases (SQL Server, HANA, MySQL)
Accounting & Business Knowledge
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Knowledge of costing, taxation basics, budgeting, and MIS
- Exposure to inventory, procurement, sales, and operations data
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- MBA / CA-Inter / CMA-Inter / Data Analytics Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in data analysis, MIS, business intelligence, or ERP reporting
- Experience in ERP-based organizations, consulting firms, or analytics-driven environments preferred
