About the job Senior Data Analyst (Material Management)
The Senior Data Analytics Specialist supports procurement and supply chain operations by analyzing large datasets, identifying insights, and driving data-based decision-making. This role ensures that purchasing strategies, supplier performance, inventory management, and cost optimization are guided by accurate, actionable data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting

Collect, clean, and analyze procurement and supply chain data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, etc.).

Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as supplier performance, cost savings, lead times, and stock turnover.

Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic sourcing and demand planning.

Provide ad hoc and periodic analytical support to procurement and logistics teams.
Process Optimization

Evaluate procurement cycles, inventory levels, and supplier reliability to recommend process improvements.

Use predictive analytics and forecasting models to optimize inventory and demand planning.

Support initiatives for cost reduction and operational efficiency through data-driven insights.
Collaboration & Business Support

Partner with procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to define data requirements and business KPIs.

Support supplier evaluation, category strategy, and risk management through analytical input.

Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data Management & Systems

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all procurement and logistics systems.

Work with IT and data engineering teams to automate data pipelines and reporting tools.

Maintain and enhance business intelligence dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analytics within procurement or supply chain.

Technical Skills:

Advanced Excel and SQL skills.

Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Strong understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and data visualization.
