Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

Indicative years of experience: 3+years

Role Description:

We are seeking a senior data engineer who will develop / maintain new functionalities in Acturial application, mentor junior team members, and ensure high code quality standards across the team.

Reporting relationship:

This role will report to Delivery Manager / Senior Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Experience with AWS cloud platform – e.g. AWS CDK, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, Lambda, Glue
Version control tooling (Git/GitHub actions)
Ability to write SQL queries and interpret data models
Traditional and NOSQL data stores such as S3
Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, etc.
Optional skills - React/Next.js
Strong written and verbal communication
A passion for engineering and problem solving
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, highly collaborative environment.
Eagerness to learn independently

Qualifications:

Must Have

Education: GraduateBachelors degree (any stream)

Other:

Strong technical skills. Knowledge of SDLC. Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning and communication skills. Must be a good team player. Good analytical skills, research oriented.
Sound knowledge of Principal Financial Group specific application. Ability to resolve questions/issues related to the application as a Subject matter expert, ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
